Engineered flooring Warrenty
General Terms and Conditions:
Engineered and solid hardwood floors are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship, including milling, assembly, sizing and grading, in the condition in which they are manufactured. Engineered floors will not delaminate if properly installed and maintained in accordance with the installation and maintenance instructions. Product quality variation not exceeding 5% is an industry standard and shall not be considered a manufacturing defect.
As hardwood parquet is a natural product, this guarantee does not cover deformation of properly installed floorboards due to seasonal or climatic conditions or wear and tear of the surface finish. It is important to maintain a constant relative humidity in the room (between 45 % and 55 % for solid hardwood floors and 40-65 % for multi-layer engineered floors). The indoor temperature should be between 18 and 25 °C. Use a humidifier or air conditioner if necessary.
The guarantee is valid for the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
Period:
-
Warranty for fitted floor coverings in residential areas - 20 years
-
Warranty for fitted floor coverings in commercial premises - 5 years
The warranty does not cover:
-
The guarantee does not cover product quality deviations of less than 5%, which is the industry standard, is not considered a defect and is not sufficient for a complaint to be resolved during the installation process;
-
Floor covering that is deemed to have been accepted as to quality by the installer/buyer when installed. Installed floorboards can no longer be presented by the purchaser for replacement under the terms of this guarantee because they are affected by manufacturing defects or because they do not conform to the declared grade;
-
Injuries caused by disasters beyond human control, such as floods, fires and earthquakes;
-
Injuries caused by transport and handling;
-
Damage to the floor due to incorrect installation and incorrect or irresponsible removal or replacement of boards;
-
Abnormal wear and tear, which may be caused by shoes with spikes, inadequate protection from furniture, sand, grit and other hard materials. Damage caused by sand, dirt or other abrasive materials should be prevented by placing a suitable floor mat at all entrance doors;
-
Damage caused by vacuum cleaner frames or the hard or metal wheels of office chairs or other furniture. (For laminate floors, the legs of furniture must always be fitted with suitable protective material. Chairs, armchairs/seats or furniture on wheels must be fitted with soft wheels or placed on specially adapted protective mats or panels);
-
Fading or discolouration of the soil due to exposure to sunlight and its UV rays. (The sun and its UV rays cause wood to age and can therefore cause fading and/or discolouration of the stain and/or wood);
-
Water damage caused by leakage or failure of plumbing, excessive moisture in concrete slabs, hydrostatic pressure or standing water during or after construction, etc. (In the event of the presence of water and/or moisture on the floor and/or around the laths, this must be removed immediately);
-
Damage caused by improper maintenance or cleaning of the assets;
-
Injuries caused by strong chemicals (including corrosives, pet urine, etc.);
-
Incorrect installation, e.g. installation on outdoor surfaces, etc.
This warranty does not cover any consequential or special incidental costs, damages or losses.
